On 27 June 2010 there took place ninth VIP’s Rowing Regatta organized by Tumski Hotel. The prize was a Cup of President of Wroclaw.

There were 16 teams competing with each other, which members were representatives of various institutions, including: Lower Silesian Tourist Organization, Wroclaw City Council, Tumski Hotel, The Wroclaw Marshal's Office, Lower Silesian Governor's Office, Town Office, Inland Waterways Authority and International Commission for Oder Protection Against Pollution.

The ICPO team members were: Marta Bociarska and Konrad Rzatkiewicz, who managed to finish the race in 3 minutes and 25 seconds, which gave them honorable ninth place. The ICPO representatives were cheerfully encouraged by their colleagues, which influenced the rowers’ motivation, therefore the battle was fierce till the very last stroke of oar. The awards (medals, diplomas and small gifts) were handed over during the cruise on “Dryad” ship. The 9th place is the more pleasing because ICPO participated in the Regatta for the first time.

 

The success allows us to think that the next year’s regatta will be even better!
